This Black History Month, we’re spotlighting CRCHD grantees and their work to address cancer disparities on our blog, Dialogue on Disparities.

Dr. Sunday Akintoye

For our first grantee spotlight, we spoke with Dr. Sunday Akintoye—an R56 recipient and former CURE K08 and K22 scholar—who is working to reduce disparities in head and neck cancers.

Dr. Jill Bargonetti

Our second grantee spotlight is a guest blog post from Dr. Jill Bargonetti, who is co-leading a study that aims to address the systemic barriers to including African American women in research. The study is made possible through the CRCHD-supported PACHE partnership between Hunter College and Fox Chase Cancer Center.
