Traffic Safety Checkpoints
The Lane, Greeleyville, and Kingstree Police Departments and the Williamsburg County Sheriff’s Office will be conducting traffic safety checkpoints during the month of October.

Seniors Patrol
The Kingstree Police Department is offering a seniors patrol wellness check. Any elderly, ill or bedridden residents of the Town of Kingstree who would like for the police department to contact them on a regular basis should call Police Chaplain the Rev. Harold Jackson. Volunteers Needed
Seniors and disabled adults in your community are homebound and need your help getting to doctor’s appointments, grocery stores, social activities, religious services, and more.
Help them live with the quality of life they deserve at a time when they need it most. You can make a difference!

The Town of Lane Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meetings will be on Fridays from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Lane Community Center. If you think you have a drinking problem there is help without judgment.
Updated recycling center hours
New recycling center hours are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.; Tuesdays and Thursdays 7 a.m. to 12 p.m.; Saturdays 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. All county landfills will be closed on Sundays.
Meeting
Williamsburg County Chapter #5360 AARP will begin holding their regular monthly meetings on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 12 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Williamsburg County Recreation Department, 2084 Thurgood Marshall Hwy., Kingstree. If you are a member of the National AARP Organization, you are invited to please come join the local chapter, here in Kingstree.

Mobile Health Unit
The Mobile Health Unit will be at the Pig Pickin’ Festival on Saturday, October 8, in Downtown Kingstree at the Rush African American Museum, 200 Hampton Ave. Health brochures, information and COVID testing will be provided at the Rush Museum, please text in advance for COVID testing, (803) 397-1859.
The Mobile Health Unit will provide physicals, Blood Chemistries and CBC, Pap Test, etc. To make reservations, text (803) 397-1859 or email crushcolumbia@aol.com to receive a return call.
The Mobile Health Unit and Telehealth Services are funded by the SC Office for Rural and Primary HealthCare, SC Center for Rural Health, Darby & Associates and C. Williams Rush, LLC.
