Driver Killed in Rollover Crash on I-25 North of Chugwater

A woman is dead after rolling her car on Interstate 25 in Platte County, the Wyoming Highway Patrol says.
The crash happened around 7:40 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 12, at milepost 64.63, about 11 miles north of Chugwater.
According to a fatality crash summary, 49-year-old Colorado resident Christina Noel was headed north when she failed to negotiate a right-hand curve and lost control of her Pontiac G6, rolling it multiple times.
Noel was not wearing her seat belt and died from her injuries.
The summary lists driver inattention as a possible contributing factor.
This is the 86th fatality on Wyoming’s highways in 2023 compared to 76 in 2022, 70 in 2021, 75 in 2020, and 104 in 2019 to date, and the second Coloradan to be killed in a rollover crash on I-25 in Platte County this month.
