Mental health remains a stigmatized topic in the Black community, despite there being a real mental health crisis among Black youth. As a Black woman who suffers from generalized anxiety disorder and takes medication, I want to educate all readers—but especially those from minority backgrounds—on mental health conditions so they can make informed choices to better their mental health journey.
