UnityPoint Health — Fort Dodge is pleased to announce three team members have been named to the 2022 McKinsey Connected Leaders Academy.

The McKinsey Connected Leaders Academy is a worldwide professional development program designed to advance diversity, equity and inclusion in business leaders. The three to six-month program equips high-performing team members with skills and aptitudes it takes to be an effective leader, how to deliver impact and how to drive the transformational change necessary for today’s work environment.

There are 22 UnityPoint Health team members from across the health care system participating in the 2022 class, including the following from UnityPoint Health – Fort Dodge:

• Jessica Torruella — Management Track

• Danesha Loyd — Management Track

• Dr. Sharmini Rasakulasuriar — Executive Track

“I’m looking forward to enhancing my leadership skills and sharing experiences of how being a Hispanic woman has shaped the way I lead my team.” said Torruella, who is the clinic supervisor for UnityPoint Clinic Family Medicine – Buena Vista.

Loyd, a specialty nurse at UnityPoint Clinic OB/GYN — Fort Dodge added, “I’m honored to have been selected for the McKinsey Connected Leaders Academy/Management Accelerator for the African American/Black Community. This will be a great opportunity for me to grow personally and professionally in my role. I look forward to starting the program in September and gaining the skills, tools and mindsets to becoming a better leader.”

I am humbled to be given the opportunity to learn; to help build an inclusive workplace and to be exposed to a wider range of different opinions, ideas and skills,” said Rasakulasuriar, a hospitalist at UnityPoint Health –Trinity Regional Medical Center

UnityPoint Health joins more than 800 participating organizations worldwide in offering the McKinsey Connected Leaders Academy.
