The cannabis industry is one of the fastest growing businesses of today. In 2022, the U.S. cannabis market size was valued at  $13.2 billion and is expected to expand significantly from 2023 to 2030.

As more Black and Brown entrepreneurs seek to tap into the market, Cannabis Noire founder Sheena Roberson is looking to diversify it even more with more women of color. Created in 2018, her brand will soon host its inaugural Women of Color Cannabis Business and Wellness Conference, from June 24, 2023 to June 25, 2023, in Philadelphia.

With an aim to provide a safe and supportive space where Black and Brown women can amplify their voices, gain valuable insights and forge new opportunities, attendees of the public event will have access to a wide range of workshops, panels and networking opportunities that cover essential topics.

“This event is an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of these Black women in the cannabis space, address the unique challenges they face and empower them to continue leading the way,” says Roberson.

More than 30 accomplished women have been secured as speakers, offering their expertise on various subjects, including business and entrepreneurship, health & wellness, and more. For the Cannabis Noire founder, it is important to elevate, educate and empower women of color in the cannabis industry by creating a space “we want to see.” Additionally, she leverages her skills as an award-winning marketing professional to use these skills to ensure people of color gain equal access and opportunities within the cannabis industry and community through resources, and advocacy.
